After sketching this gentleman, we struck up a conversation about the writing of his novel, the meaning of life, and the tremendous impact his father had on him. He told me his father only finished the 2nd or 3rd grade, but was one of the wisest men he knew. Intellect and wisdom are quite different. After speaking with him, I wish I could have met his dad, but I'm honored to have met and spoken with his son.
